A few months ago I jammed the wrong battery inside my/my dad's Nikon. I swear it was not my fault. The shop gave us the wrong spare battery when we bought the camera, but this information never made its way to me. Amazingly, when my dad found out he did not murder me or even verbally abuse me. He took the camera back to the shop where they said that the camera was irreparable. Somehow my dad managed to pry out the battery by his own means, but broke the lens in the process. So all that I'm saying is my camera is out being repaired, and until then, I'm checking out some new techniques (hopefully, my future photos will look somewhat more polished). I read the entire manual for my camera yesterday. I need a life too.
